MPBSE Improvement Exam: Failed students must reappear, others can improve scores; fee ranges from Rs 500 to Rs 2,000 based on number of subjects
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) will close the registration process for Class 10 and Class 12 improvement exams today, April 22.
Candidates can submit their applications online via MPBSE official website mpbse.nic.in, by entering their roll number, choosing the subjects they wish to appear for, and paying the prescribed fee.
The improvement examinations are scheduled to commence on May 7. Class 10 exams will conclude on May 19, while Class 12 exams will continue until May 25. All exams will be conducted in a single morning session from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Students who did not pass one or more subjects in the main board exams must reappear for those papers, whereas those who passed can opt to improve marks in selected subjects. Only candidates who were registered for the main examination are eligible.
MPBSE Improvement Exam: Fee details
Candidates are required to pay a fee based on the number of subjects they choose for the MPBSE improvement exam:
- One subject: Rs 500
- Two subjects: Rs 1,000
- Three or four subjects: Rs 1,500
- More than four subjects: Rs 2,000
MPBSE Improvement Exam: How to apply
Candidates can follow the below steps to apply for MPBSE improvement exam 2026;
- Visit the official MPBSE MP Online portal using a secure browser.
- On the homepage, navigate to the “Counter Based Forms” section.
- Click on the link for “Examination II (Supplementary/Improvement) 2026.”
- Select your class (10th or 12th) and choose the application type (Improvement or Supplementary).
- Enter your main exam roll number to proceed.
- Choose the subjects you wish to appear for; eligible subjects will be displayed automatically.
- Pay the required fee through net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
- Download and keep a copy of the application receipt, as it will be needed to access your admit card later.
