National Teachers’ Awards 2025 see 5 from PM SHRI schools among 45 recipients

National Awards to Teachers 2025: 45 school teachers will be awarded with certificates, cash prizes, silver medals on September 5 by President Droupadi Murmu.
The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education has issued the list of 45 teachers who will receive the National Teachers' Awards 2025. President Droupadi Murmu will confer the awards to the selected teachers on September 5 on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
In the list of selected teachers, three each are from Maharashtra and Bihar. Two each have been shortlisted from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal.
Five school teachers from the Prime Minister Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) have made it to the list this year.
Each recipient will be awarded with a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs 50,000 and a silver medal. The education ministry informed that the boarding and lodging arrangements of the shortlisted teachers have been made at Hotel 'The Ashok', New Delhi from September 3 to September 6, 2025. A briefing meeting will be held on September 3 at 5 PM at the hotel.
