Govt extends NEET MDS 2025 internship completion date till June 30

Try NowNEW DELHI: The government has decided to extend the last date for the completion of internship for the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2025 till June 30, 2025. The Dental Council of India (DCI) clarified that the NEET MDS exam date 2025 will remain the same, April 19, 2025.
“It is hereby informed to all NEET-MDS aspirants that the GOI has decided to extend the last date for completion of internship to become eligible for NEET-MDS, 2025 to 30.06.2025. However, the NEET-MDS Exam 2025 shall be conducted on the same date i.e. on 19.04.2025,” the council said in an official notice.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will open the registration portal for aspirants who completed their internship between April 1, 2025 and June 30, 2025 soon.
Earlier, the NEET MDS 2025 internship cut-off date had been set as March 31, according to the official information brochure. A day before the commencement of the registration process, the board had not notified the NEET MDS 2025 information bulletin and the internship completion date, creating a sense of disappointment amongst the aspirants. The exam which was initially scheduled for January 31 was postponed to April 19.
NEET MDS 2025 exam pattern
The medical board recently closed the NEET MDS 2025 application form correction window and informed that the final form edit facility will be made available from March 27 to 31.
As per the NEET MDS exam pattern 2025, the exam will be held in a computer-based test (CBT) mode. The question paper will comprise 240 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam will be three hours.
