NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will not issue the answer key for the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024, as per the information bulletin. NEET PG 2024 result will be declared soon on the official websites, natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in.
“NBEMS shall not entertain any request for sharing any content of the examination including answer keys/answer sheets,” read NEET PG 2024 information bulletin.
The PG medical entrance exam was conducted after much delay on August 11 for admission to MD, MS, MDS, and other postgraduate medical programmes. In a first, the test was administered in two shifts. Around 2.28 lakh candidates appeared for the exam held at 416 examination centres.
For preparation of NEET PG result 2024, the medical board informed that it has adopted the process used by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi for the exams conducted in multiple shifts such as the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET).

NEET PG 2024 marks will be normalized and converted into percentile scores, on the lines of the normalization process used by AIIMS. A percentile score indicates the percentage of the candidates who have scored equal or less than the specific percentile in the exam. The percentile score will be calculated up to seven decimal places to avoid bunching effect and reduce ties between two candidates.
“Therefore, the topper (highest score) of each group (shift) will get the same Percentile of 100, which is desirable. The marks obtained between the highest and lowest scores are converted to appropriate Percentiles,” read the AIIMS normalization document.
