NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) will be conducting the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG 2024) exam tomorrow on August 11. The NEET PG exam for admission into MD, MS, and PG diploma courses will be held in two shifts from 9 am to 12.30 pm. Candidates will have to carry the NEET PG admit card 2024 downloaded from natboard.edu.in to the exam centre for verification purposes.

The NEET PG exam date 2024 was postponed thrice now due to paper leak allegations and other administrative reasons. On August 9, the Supreme Court heard the petition seeking postpone NEET PG citing allocation of far-off exam centres. It, however, refused to defer the exam stating that the 2 lakh aspirants will suffer.

Background wave

The NEET PG exam centres have also been reduced to 500, senior advocate Sanjay Hedge informed the top court yesterday. He also talked about the concerns raised by the aspirants regarding the normalisation method as the exam will be held in two shifts this time.

In response to this, the NBEMS today issued a clarification stating that the NEET PG 2024 results will be prepared using the AIIMS normalisation method for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET).

“NBEMS has adopted the process which is currently being used by AIIMS-New Delhi for its various examinations conducted in more than one shift including but not limited to INI-CET, in preparation of results for NEET-PG 2024,” the board said.

NEET PG 2024 exam day guidelines

The NBEMS has issued the NEET PG exam day guidelines to be followed by the applicants.

  • Candidates are required to print NEET PG hall ticket in A4 size paper and carry it to the exam centre.
  • It is advised to reach the allotted exam centre well in advance to avoid last-minute rush. Carry all prescribed documents, such as admit card, valid ID proof, and photograph; which shall be verified at the time of entry.
  • Avoid carrying any items which are prohibited inside the test centre.
  • Use of face masks is prohibited inside the exam hall. As per the NEET PG dress code, candidates are advised not to wear any jewellery, sunglasses or heavy dresses that may hinder the frisking process.
  • Carry supportive medical documents should you need to use medicine or medical assistance devices inside the test centre.
  • Avoid tattooing your fingers with henna or colours to avoid difficulties in finger biometric-based registration for the examination.
  • Complete time-bound sections of the question paper within the time limits prescribed.
