NEET PG seat matrix 2025 for All India Quota (AIQ) and state quotas will be published on the official website and the respective state counselling committee portals. However, the Gujarat NEET PG counselling 2025, which began its admission process well before other states, has now notified the total number of seats available for NEET PG counselling 2025.
This year, over 2 lakh candidates appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - PG (NEET PG 2025), of whom 1,28,116 qualified the exam.
Several candidates have alleged wide gaps in marks and approached the Supreme Court seeking transparency. Although the legal scrutiny is ongoing, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened registrations for the NEET PG counselling today on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
The NEET PG cut-off 2025, which is the minimum qualifying marks required for participating in the admission process, has been reduced for all categories this year.
The Gujarat NEET counselling committee has uploaded the NEET PG seat matrix 2025 approved by NMC as of October 13. The commission had earlier clarified that the medical colleges offering PG courses are not required to seek fresh recognition of existing seats.
With 52,244 seats available for 1.28 lakh candidates, only two out of five are likely to secure a seat in this year’s NEET PG counselling.
As per the data shared by the ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW) in April 2025, the number of PG seats has increased from 31,185 before 2014 to 74,306 at present. However, the latest NMC approved seat matrix published on the Gujarat counselling portal shows 49,907 seats and a separate list with 2,337 newly approved seats.
Candidates are advised to wait for the final seat matrix, which will be issued on the MCC portal. The NMC and MCC will be continuously updating the list depending on the approval. The MBBS seat matrix has also been updated multiple times due to NMC granting approval and recognition to medical colleges across the country.
