Use NowThe National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has agreed to publish the answer key for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - postgraduate (NEET PG 2025) for the first time in history – but aspirants, who rejoiced at the decision, now have specific demands. Let’s see what are the latest issues raised by aspirants and what NBEMS has actually promised. NEET PG Answer Key 2025 LIVE
The NEET PG 2025 exam was held on August 3 in a single shift. Although the Supreme Court , while hearing last year’s petitions seeking transparency in the national-level medical entrance exam, issued 10 directives, which included publication of answer key, raw marks, and detailed normalisation method, the NBEMS has not complied with all of them yet. The directives were issued to ensure transparency in the exam and prevent seat blocking in admission.
The NBEMS agreed to one thing - to conduct the exam in a single shift . However, it did not clarify whether it would issue answer keys and raw marks.
The board directly published the NEET PG 2025 results for 2.42 lakh candidates on August 19 - 16 days after the exam. Aspirants started flooding social media claiming discrepancies in the marks indicating differences ranging from 50 to 100 marks.
Meanwhile, the NBEMS made the historic decision on August 21 to publish the NEET PG answer key for this year, a decision which was not taken before fearing misuse of exam content.
NEET PG aspirants and doctor groups like Federation of All India Medical Associations (FAIMA) and United Democratic Front (UDF) welcomed the landmark decision and called it a “big win”.

‘Publish NEET PG 2025 questions’
An X account namely ‘NEET PG marks discrepancies’, wrote: “We need the full questions, not just question IDs, in the NEET PG 2025 answer key! IDs alone don’t help us match our declared results with our efforts. Please release the complete questions for transparency. #NEETPG2025 #NEETPGMARKSDISCREPANCY”
Another X user posted a preferable format to publish NEET PG answer key with questions.
What did NBEMS promise?
In compliance with the Supreme Court order dated April 29, 2025, the NBEMS decided to publish the answer key of NEET PG on its official website, natboard.edu.in. Along with the correct answer key, the response sheet of candidates for respective questions will also be uploaded.
The NEET PG scores given for each of the questions attempted by candidates will be displayed on the response sheet.
The NEET PG answer key and responses marked by candidates will be made available through the candidate login at NEET PG index page at NBEMS website.
According to the first notification, the NBEMS stated that it will display the questions, correct answer key and responses marked as per the sequence in the Master set of NEET PG question paper.
Later, it issued a correction notice clarifying that it will publish the question ID numbers, instead of questions along with the correct answer key and responses marked by candidates.
