NEET PG Result Date 2025: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to declare the NEET PG results 2025 by September 3, as per reports. The exam was held this year after the Supreme Court scrapped the two-shift exam format to ensure transparency.
The national-level exam is conducted for admission to MD, MS, and PG diploma courses across medical colleges of India. A total of 74,306 PG seats are available in India, as per the ministry of health and family welfare.
More than 2.42 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2025 exam in 301 cities and 1,052 test centres. The exam was held in a single shift as a computer-based test (CBT).
The board had postponed the exam to August 3 to increase the number of exam centers following the top court order to hold the exam in a single session - a shift from its previously introduced two-shift exam. Despite these efforts, several students flagged errors in the NEET PG city intimation slip.
Many aspirants felt the exam was easy to moderate in difficulty, indicating that the NEET PG cut-offs 2025 are expected to go higher this year. As per the latest update, the results are expected by September 3, the Times of India reported.

The NBEMS declared the NEET PG result on August 23 last year. As per the NEET PG cut-off percentile criteria, candidates from the General/EWS category required the 50th percentile, UR-PwBD needed the 45th percentile, while those from SC, ST, and OBC categories had to secure 40th percentile to be eligible for admission.
The Board did not release category-wise cut-off marks, since the exam was held in two shifts and raw scores were normalised to prepare the merit list. The delay and errors in the merit list further complicated the selection process with aspirants approaching the Supreme Court demanding clarity and transparency in the exam.
On January 6, the board reduced the qualifying cut-off to the 15th percentile for general and EWS candidates and the 10th percentile for UR-PwBD, SC, ST, and OBC. A month later, the cut-off was further lowered to the 5th percentile across all categories to fill seats.
“When result of NEET PG 2025 will be declared? 12 days passed after examination, neither answer key has been released nor the result has been declared?” a candidate said.
“I genuinely despise NMC and nbems for their neet pg conduct. Also every year they say result will be out after a month but they release in 7-12 days , while counselling starts in 3-4 months.
I genuinely wish they respect their own commitment and let students have some free days,” another aspirant wrote on social media post.
Biswaranjan Pattnaik, a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in an X post said: “In 2024, the #NEETPG result was announced within 12 days, despite the need for normalization. However, the result of #NEETPG2025, held in a single shift on 03.08.2025 after a 48-day delay, has yet to be declared, even though normalization is not required. Why is the NBEMS treating the lives and careers of young doctors so casually? #NEETPGresults #medtwitterindia”
