NEET PG 2025: MCC announces 2,980 clear vacancies for final stray round; allotment on February 21

Download nowThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced 2,980 clear vacancies for the NEET PG final counselling round. Candidates who have registered for the MCC NEET PG stray vacancy round will have to fill and lock choices by February 19 on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) informed the Supreme Court that 95,913 additional candidates have become eligible for the NEET PG counselling following the reduction of the qualifying cut-off percentile to zero.
In response to the affidavit filed in the apex court challenging the health ministry’s decision to reduce the NEET PG cut-off significantly to -40, the NBEMS said any interference at this stage would directly impact the newly eligible students.

Meanwhile, the reset registration window was available till 11 am on February 18. Candidates who have registered for the final allotment round for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats will have to fill choices by 11.55 pm on February 19. The choice locking will open at 4 pm on February 19 and close at 11.55 pm on the same day.
The NEET PG stray vacancy seat allotment result will be declared on February 21, after which the MCC will share data of allotted candidates for weeding out ineligible candidates from state quota counselling.
Candidates allotted seats in the stray round will have to report to their respective colleges between February 22 and 28 to complete the admission process.
