During the brief hearing, the petitioners explained that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had initially promised to publish all questions along with the NEET PG answer key but later issued a “corrective notice” limiting it to question IDs.

Those admitted under the All India Quota (AIQ) seats are also required to sign a bond policy agreeing to render a three-year government service upon completion of the course. 

A bond amount of Rs 10 lakh for medicate and dental degree and Rs 4 lakh for PG diploma should be submitted by candidates at the time of admission. The bond amount will be forfeited if they decide to discontinue their course.

An NEET PG 2025 aspirant from Bihar’s Muzaffarpur allegedly shot himself dead with his father's licenced gun at his home in the Jaitpur Sate Colony area. His family said that he was upset about not qualifying the NEET PG 2025 exam. Students have been alleging several discrepancies in the marks and have approached the Supreme Court recently. The matter will be taken by the top court next week.

SS exam was postponed by 3 months and another 4 months for result and counselling. And now more than 4 months post DM for service bond counselling. 4+2+3+4+4= 17 months for what could have been done in 7-8 months maximum."

45th percentile was fixed for UR-PwBD categories and 40th for SC, ST, and OBC students.

  “On 27.08.2025 Respondent no. 2 has issued a notice for availability of All India seats from 5th September 2025 and the counselling/allotment of seats is going to be started on first week of September, i.e. 5th September, 2025 and if the counselling process will start then the purpose for filing the present writ petition will become infructuous,” the petition filed by the NEET PG aspirants or doctors read.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the NEET PG 2025 counselling for admission to MD, MS and other post graduate diploma courses at various medical colleges across the country on or after September 5.

The NBEMS last week announced to issue NEET PG answer key, response sheet along with the questions. However, the board immediately issued a 'correction' notice saying that it will only publish the question ID. NEET PG 2025 aspirants has challenged this decision, seeking plea for better transparency of the NEET PG 2025 result. 

The Supreme Court will hear the plea for the NEET PG 2025 transparency today after the petitioners sought an urgent hearing with a view that the MCC counselling will begin on or after September 5. 

The Supreme Court of India will hear MD, MS aspirants plea against NBEMS's decision to release only question ID's for NEET PG. The aspirants are demanding full access to the NEET PG question paper for more transparency.
