NEET PG Counselling 2025 LIVE: MCC yet to announce schedule; Supreme Court hearing likely late October

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot today informed candidates that the fee structure for Adesh medical college in Bathinda is subject to the order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The total fees, including tuition, library, hostel, ad development charges, may cost up to Rs 52 lakh. Candidates admitted through Punjab NEET PG counselling are also required to sign a bond of Rs 25 lakh if they decide to not serve as a senior resident at the university after completion of the course.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will announce the schedule, eligibility, NRI quota, seat allotment details for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats through NEET PG counselling on the official website, mcc.nic.in. The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) had announced that the NEET PG counselling 2025 will begin mid-October. As per the latest update, Dr Rohan Krishnan in a social media post claimed that the NEET PG counselling process was scheduled to begin today, however, has been delayed by another 2-3 days due to delay in approval of seat matrix. 

Citing Dr Rohan Krishnan's video message, Dr Subhrajyoti Chattopadhyay posted on X: "NEET PG 2025 counselling delay has caused dissatisfaction among students waiting for MD/ MS admissions. While students are waiting for counselling process to begin, delay in NEET PG 2025 counselling is due to pending seat matrix approval from NMC & Supreme Court hearing."

Recently, in a major disciplinary move, the NBEMS has cancelled the NEET PG results of 22 candidates spanning the 2021 to 2025 sessions. The action was taken after the board’s Exam Ethics Committee confirmed the use of unfair means by these candidates in the postgraduate medical entrance examinations. According to the NBEMS, the NEET PG scorecards of the listed candidates stand cancelled, and any attempt to use them for admission, employment, or registration will be treated as unlawful. The board also issued a disclaimer, stating that it will not be responsible for any admissions or enrolments made on the basis of the cancelled results.

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has extended the last date for Telangana NEET PG 2025 counselling registration to October 16. Candidates who missed the earlier deadline can now apply for Telangana NEET PG 2025 counselling at tspgmed.tsche.in.

UP NEET PG 2025 | Of 148 candidates who have been debarred from participating in counselling, 89 are those who resigned from their allotted seat or left the course midway.

According to the computer-generated date on the official website, the SC will hear the petition seeking exam transparency and full display of questions on October 28.

Karnataka NEET PG 2025 | To be eligible for admission, candidates who qualified in the NEET PG 2025 exam must have completed a one-year compulsory government service after earning their MBBS degree. Additionally, those admitted through the All India Quota (AIQ) must sign a bond agreeing to serve in government roles for three years after completing their postgraduate course.

At the time of admission, candidates are required to submit a bond amount of Rs 10 lakh for medical and dental degrees, and Rs 4 lakh for PG diploma courses. The amount will be forfeited if the candidate discontinues the course.

National Medical Commission (NMC) has clarified that the medical colleges are not required to seek fresh recognition of postgraduate medical courses, but they must display the annual disclosure report and course-wise fee. MD, MS seats in PG medical colleges approved by PGMEB are recognised for awarding degrees.

The Supreme Court heard a plea filed by NEET PG aspirants requesting full disclosure of the questions and answer keys to ensure complete transparency. However, the bench adjourned the case to the next hearing, questioning the intent of the petitioners.

As per Andhra Pradesh NEET PG bond policy, candidates will be required to sign a bond about serving in a government or state health facility, for a minimum of 10 years, upon completion of their postgraduate medical course. Those who fail to serve will have to pay Rs 50 lakh as penalty, along with all pay and allowances received during the in-service postgraduate or super specialty course, including applicable interest.

An X user expressed disappointment over delay in NEET PG counselling and said in a post, "Very unfortunate and shameful that NEET PG 2025 eligible Candidates are still suffering from apathetic action of the Government. Almost 2 months passed of their result out, they are just wandering because of callous activity of NBE."

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has started NEET PG counselling 2025 for MD, MS, PG Diploma courses on the official website, bfuhs.ac.in. The application fee is Rs 5,000 for open candidates and Rs 2,500 for SC applicants.

A major data breach has reportedly exposed personal details of over 1.38 lakh NEET PG 2025 aspirants, including names, contact information, application IDs, and roll numbers, with the information allegedly being sold online for Rs 3,599. The incident, first flagged on Reddit, has raised serious concerns over NBEMS and NMC’s data security amid ongoing legal scrutiny of NEET PG exam transparency.

Seats will be allotted based on the Government-issued seat matrix, merit, eligibility, reservation, and options entered by candidates. The system checks availability in General Merit (GM) first, then Hyderabad Karnataka GM (GMH), followed by other reserved categories as per roster priority

The Maharashtra government is exploring the possibility of permitting MBBS graduates from state-run medical colleges to enroll in postgraduate courses without fulfilling their mandatory bond service. An official from the state’s medical education department stated that discussions are underway on whether the revised bond rules, introduced in 2017 but not yet implemented, should apply to recent graduates. The proposal aims to address student concerns that the new regulations could substantially delay their careers.

NTRUHS Andhra Pradesh has barred 191 candidates from participating in Andhra Pradesh NEET PG counselling 2025. The counselling authorities have reopened the application form for AP NEET PG counselling 2025 on the official website,  drntr.uhsap.in.

Kerala CEE has introduced stricter service regulations for NEET PG students. Candidates who choose to discontinue their PG courses must repay the government-incurred expenses along with a fixed penalty of Rs 50 lakh. Additionally, at the time of admission, candidates are required to execute two separate bonds on stamp paper totaling Rs 200 in value.

DME Uttar Pradesh has debarred 148 candidates from UP NEET PG counselling 2025 for not joining or resigning from the MD, MS seats allotted to them in the stray vacancy round last year. DME has issued lists of debarred MD and MS candidates with their names, roll number, NEET PG rank, and allotted institutions.

Of the 22 candidates, 13 appeared in the 2025 NEET PG exam, 3 in 2024, 4 in 2023, and one each in 2022 and 2021. Out of 2.42 lakh candidates, 1,28,116 were declared qualified for MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses. MCC NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule is pending amid ongoing legal scrutiny.

NBEMS stated that producing or using the cancelled NEET PG scorecards for employment, registration, admissions, or higher education is unlawful. The board disclaimed responsibility for any consequences arising from use of the cancelled results.
