The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the choice filling facility for the NEET PG round 1 counselling 2025 for admission to 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The NEET PG counselling 2025 schedule was issued after much delay and uncertainty due to the pending Supreme Court case.
The NEET PG seat matrix for AIQ, central internal quota, deemed universities, and final DNB have been uploaded on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Candidates who have qualified in the NEET PG 2025 exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will be eligible to register and fill choices.
Around 1.28 lakh candidates qualified the exam, in which over 2 lakh participated. After three months of uncertainty, the MCC announced the NEET PG counselling dates on October 28.
Although the Supreme Court was tentatively scheduled to resume the NEET PG hearing on exam transparency, there is no update as of yet. Notably, the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association India (FORDA) wrote to the health ministry to expedite the MCC NEET PG admission process, highlighting the shortage of resident doctors in hospitals across the country. It also urged the ministry to provide transparent updates on the Supreme Court proceedings scheduled on October 28.
Meanwhile, several states have started the NEET PG counselling for state quota seats. The state-wise counselling schedule along with bond policy, college and course fees, eligibility, and cut-off details will be given below.

A survey conducted by FAIMA among students, faculty, and doctors in medical colleges revealed concerning conditions faced by MBBS and PG residents. Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada has opened the AP NEET PG 2025 counselling application window with a late fee under the competent authority quota till October 31. A total of 11 candidates from the FMGE exams, held from 2021 to 2025 lost their seats due to 'unfair means.' Notably, the pass rate in the FMG exam saw a steady decline of 11 percentage points compared to the previous year. FMGE June 2025 pass percentage stood at 18.61%. Of the 37,207 registered candidates, only 6,707 qualified the exam gaining eligibility to practice medicine in India.

The Selection Committee of the Directorate of Medical Education and Research has announced a list of 570 in-service doctors who have been awarded incentive marks for postgraduate medical admissions under the government quota through Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2025 counselling.
As per the official notification, the incentive marks were allocated based on the length of service in government positions, with a maximum of 30% marks granted in line with MCI regulations.
