Download EBookNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission into 645 medical and 318 dental colleges in 13 languages on May 5, 2024.
As per the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Dental Council of India (DCI) data, there are more than 1 lakh MBBS seats, 26,949 BDS seats, 52,720 AYUSH seats, 603 BVSc and AH seats in the country. The NEET 2024 will also be applicable for admission to 1,899 MBBS seats in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and 249 JIPMER seats.
NEET 2024 eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the NEET 2024 should be 17 years old by December 31, 2024. Students should have either passed or are appearing in Class 12 or equivalent board exam. Candidates must have studied physics, chemistry, biology, and English at a recognized board. They should have scored at least 50% in physics, chemistry, and biology in the qualifying examination. For candidates from SC, ST, and OBC-NCL categories, the minimum mark requirement is 40%.
