The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will not publish the answer key for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG 2025). As a proprietary exam conducted and owned by NBEMS, candidates are explicitly prohibited from sharing the exam content in any form.
The NEET PG 2025 exam for admission into MD, MS, postgraduate diploma courses was conducted on August 3. Over 2.4 lakh candidates appeared this year.
Aspirants have been demanding for greater transparency in the NEET PG exam, citing discrepancies in the merit lists used for state-level counselling. Some students have even approached the Supreme Court seeking clarity in the exam and counselling process.
Although the Supreme Court directed the NBEMS to disclose the answer key and raw marks of students, the NBE has not yet announced its decision on the same. Notably, this is one among the 10 issued by the top court to uphold the integrity of the exam.
The NBE has strictly prohibited candidates from sharing the exam content with friends, acquaintances, or third parties, including sharing through social media or other online means. Social media includes but is not limited to SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, ‘X’, You Tube, Blogs etc. using either one’s own account or proxy account(s).
“NEET-PG is a proprietary examination and is conducted only by NBEMS. The contents of this exam are confidential, proprietary and are owned by NBEMS.” the board said.
NBEMS explicitly prohibits the candidate from reproducing, transmitting or publishing any or some contents of this exam, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means verbal or written, electronic or mechanical for any purpose whatsoever. NBEMS shall not entertain any request for sharing any content of the examination including answer keys/answer sheets.
It also stated that by registering or appearing in the NEET PG exam, candidates “explicitly agree” to the “Non-Disclosure Agreement” and general terms of use contained in the information bulletin.
It also warned candidates of penal action and cancellation of candidature if any rule is violated.
