Odisha universities will form a committee comprising educationists for faculty recruitment to avoid unnecessary delay in hiring.
The former UGC chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar resigned from the post of UGC chairman on April 7 after attaining the age of 65.

The meeting comes against the background of President Droupadi Murmu withholding assent to the Tamil Nadu anti-NEET bill.
