Presidency University offers exchange programme, dual degrees in France

Presidency University Bengaluru has signed an agreement with the ECE Engineering School in France for a “strategic partnership”. This collaboration is to enhance student mobility and academic cooperation among the two institutions.

The core purpose of this partnership is semester exchange programmes. Five undergraduate students from each institution will be selected to spend a semester abroad. According to an official statement, Indian students will benefit from ECE Engineering School’s applied curriculum, which is relevant to research and industry. ECE students will experience Presidency University's “forward-looking” academic environment and diverse community.

The Presidency University-ECE agreement also introduces dual Master’s degree programmes, which will allow students to earn qualifications from both institutions. A Pathway Programme is also introduced, letting students begin a Master’s programme in India, and complete the same in France, with academic credit recognition and the curriculum easing the transition.

The Pathway Programme will be available to students in industry-relevant disciplines such as artificial intelligence, data management, technology and innovation, entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, and sustainable energy.

The Indo-French partnership will commence during the academic year 2025-26, with the first batch of ECE students arriving to India this August.

The international experience via Presidency University will be “appealing” for Indian students as the French government has set a national target of welcoming 30,000 Indian students by 2030. France also provides a visa for up to two years of post-study professional work experience.
