Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot has cancelled the candidature of seven students seeking MBBS admission for violating the Punjab NEET UG counselling 2025 rules, which bars them from applying for state quota seats in more than one state. The revised Punjab NEET UG merit list 2025 has been published on the official website, bfuhs.ac.in.

The university has also issued a revised merit list for MBBS and BDS admission in Punjab medical and dental colleges for the 85% state quota seats.

A total of 3,722 candidates have been listed in the provisional combined merit list for Punjab NEET UG round 2 counselling for government, private medical and dental colleges, universities, and minority institutes.

For the NRI quota, 6 students have been placed in category 1 and 17 in category 2.

“The candidature of 7 candidates for Punjab state quota seats has been cancelled due to violation of clause 18 of Punjab Govt. Notification dated 09.08.2024 published in the Prospectus,” the university said.

As per the clause 18, candidates and their parents are required to submit a declaration stating that the applicant has not applied for MBBS and BDS admissions under state quota seats of any other state (other than Punjab). All seven students have violated these guidelines, it said, adding that five among them applied for Delhi and 2 for Haryana in addition to Punjab.

The BFUHS has also opened the Punjab NEET UG choice filling window. Candidates who have been featured in the revised merit list for round 2 will have to submit their preferences by 5 pm on September 12 for MBBS and BDS courses.
