Assam: ST students studying in Classes 9 and 10 in the state will be able to register for the scholarship through the National Scholarship Portal, scholarships.gov.in. Revised dates here.
The minister announced that students in Classes 6, 7 will receive Rs 50 per month, those in Class 8 will get Rs 75, while Classes 9, 10 will receive Rs 100. Students in Classes 11 and 12 will be given Rs 200 per month.
The Tamil Nadu government had sent proposals in April 2024 itself, however, the release of the first instalment of Rs 573 crore and previous year’s Rs 249 crore was overdue.
