SSC CHSL, JE 2025 vacancies announced; over 900 posts open in ministry of defence

Download NowThe Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the tentative vacancies for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) level and Junior Engineer exams. There are a total of 3,131 vacancies for SSC CHSL exam 2025 and 1,731 vacancies for junior engineer positions.

Under the SSC CHSL recruitment 2025, over 939 positions are vacant in the ministry of defence, including departments such as Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), Armed Forces HQ, and Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA).
Additionally, a total of 154 vacancies will be filled under the ministry of communications, 266 under the ministry of finance, and 361 under the ministry of housing and urban affairs through the SSC CHSL exam 2025.
As per the SSC JE vacancies 2025 , a total of 796 junior civil engineer posts are available in the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) for male candidates. Another 163 posts are open for male candidates with degree in electrical and medical engineering.
SSC Stenographers Grade C, D exam 2025
In another update, the commission said that the SSC Stenographer Grade C, D exam will be conducted at 157 centres across more than 85 cities. Over 3.50 lakh candidates have registered for the exam.
As per the SSC city allotment, 79% of the candidates have been assigned a centre of their first, second, or third choice. “The remaining candidates have been allotted centres in nearby places and the average of the distances between the application address and the city in which the centres have been assigned in respect of these candidates is about 220 kilometres,” the commission said.
The SSC Stenographer exam 2025 will be conducted on August 8.
