SSC CHT 2025: 437 vacancies across departments; paper 1 on August 12

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the tentative vacancies for the Combined Hindi Translators Exam (CHT) 2025 exam. Candidates who are appearing for the recruitment exam can check SSC CHT 2025 vacancy on the official website, ssc.gov.in.
According to the SSC CHSL 2025 notification on tentative vacancies, the recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 437 vacancies in various departments.
The commission recently notified that the SSC CHT 2025 paper 1 will be conducted on August 12, 2025. As per the SSC CHT exam pattern, paper 1 will comprise 100 questions on general Hindi and general English, carrying a total of 100 marks. The duration of test will be two hours.
SSC CHT comprises two papers. Paper 1 will consist of objective-type multiple choice questions only. Based on the marks scored in the paper 1, candidates will be shortlisted to appear in Paper 2 (descriptive paper).
SSC also made amendments to the exam rules. Accordingly, in a bid to fill all the notified vacancies as possible, the commission is contemplating to introduce a scheme for single round of post allotment sliding seeking to fill up unfilled vacancies reported after document verification through extended cut off.
