The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the launch of its official X account – @SSC_GoI. Just days after the launch, candidates flooded the platform with queries, complaints, and appeals regarding exam postponements, result delays, and recruitment details.

The commission informed candidates that the SSC is now active on X (formerly Twitter) and urged them to follow the handle for timely updates, announcements, and important information about the recruitment process. However, the comment section on SSC’s posts has been turned off, forcing students to tag the official account to raise concerns.

An error in the official notification, in which SSC mistakenly referred to it as Staff Service Commission instead of the Staff Selection Commission, was also pointed out by aspirants on social media.

“SSC has just shared information about its Twitter handle on its website, but it states that SSC's full form is Staff Service Commission. Mistakes are made by humans, but who makes mistakes like SSC? Are the employees at SSC there after passing exams or through some makeshift technology? A dark era in SSC's history,” Surya Prakash Jha said in a post.

Candidates oppose SSC CGL reexam

The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) tier-1 exams have been rescheduled to October 14 for around 2,000 candidates who faced technical glitches . Notably, the commission received 18,920 grievances through the Candidate Feedback Portal.

Contrary to the widespread protests about technical glitches , many candidates claimed that their exams had been rescheduled despite not facing any error during the process.

“My SSC CGL was scheduled on 16th September,2025. I haven't experienced any technical glitches or in other issues that could hamper my overall exam experience. Moreover I hadn't filled the feedback form as I haven't faced any issues. Now my exam has been rescheduled to October 14,” Shantanu Bhabal said.

“No communication has been made via sms or email. I randomly visited the website and came to know. What is the point? Why this harrasment is being done with me?” he added.

“My name is Lav Yadav CGL 2025 registration no 10000674410. My CGL exam was conducted on 13 September shift 1 in jaipur which went flawless without any server or mouse issue even entry or exit on time. then why my exam is reconduct on 14 oct. this is unfair to me,” another aspirant said.

“On what basis you are rescheduling this exam? My exam went well without any problem still I have been rescheduled for the 14th oct what the hell is going on,” a third user said.

“Pls give me (SSC) calendar so I can start my preparation and a strategy. Lot of time suicidal taught come in mind,” another user wrote.

SSC phase 11 result delayed by 3 years

Along with the demand for clarification on the SSC exam calendar and postponement, candidates who appeared in SSC Selection Post Phase 11 flagged a three-year delay in declaring the final results, affecting over 1,000 candidates.

According to the September 14 notification, 3,97,337 applicants registered for the exam in 2023 for graduation and above level posts. Of them, a total of 31,850 candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny based on the normalized score and merit of candidates in the computer-based exam (CBT).

“SSC PHASE 11 Post Code NR 32623 (MES Driver) Sir, it’s been almost 3 years since the recruitment started. What answer can we give to someone for 3 years, saying it will come today or tomorrow? Every day we hold onto hope, but the result doesn’t come. We humbly request you to please release the result before Diwali," Manoj Kumar Yadav wrote on X, tagging the commission.

“The result for SSC Phase 11 MES Driver (NR 32623) has been pending for 3 years. The future of 1070 youths is in limbo. They are suffering the sting of unemployment. Please release the result before Diwali,” Gopi Moond said.
