The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has launched the Advanced and Dependable Assessment & Resourceful Secured Hub (AADARSH) Pariksha Kendra initiative to strengthen and standardise its exam process. The announcement was made by SSC Chairman S Gopalakrishnan in New Delhi in the presence of officials from EdCIL, RailTel, C-DAC, and CBSE.

According to the Commission, 8,000 seats will be introduced under the AADARSH Pariksha Kendra APK in the upcoming exams. These centres will have computer-based testing facilities and ISO-certified infrastructure. Halls will be air-conditioned, with designated baggage storage areas and secured printing mechanisms.

The commission further states that AI-enabled CCTV will also be installed, providing surveillance with no blind spots. Zones for biometric registration, centrally monitored command rooms, and on-site technical support will also be available.

Exam centre allocation, grievance redressal

SSC stated that more than 90% of candidates will be allotted exam centres from among the three options exercised during application. Remaining candidates will be offered centres within 200 km of their residence. The Commission also announced the introduction of uniform stationery across centres to maintain consistency.

As part of its digital reforms, SSC will launch an official YouTube channel for updates and notifications. In addition, a dedicated grievance hub will become operational from the next exam cycle to address candidate concerns in a structured and timely manner.

“These are imperative measures to strengthen SSC’s vision to create a uniform and unified platform that ensures better candidate experience, convenience, speed, examination security and help curb potential malpractices,” the official press release said.

APK to strengthen exam security: SSC Chairman

Highlighting the scale of SSC’s exams, Chairman Gopalakrishnan said that over 2 crore candidates appear each year for recruitment tests such as the Combined Graduate Level (CGL), Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), and Constable (GD). He said the APK initiative and grievance portal are steps towards building a secure and accessible system.

“With world-class infrastructure at AADARSH Pariksha Kendra, SSC is moving towards ‘SSC 2.0’, a transformation aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, ensuring greater self-reliance and accountability in our operations,” the chairman said.
