SSC announces 7,948 vacancies for MTS, Havaldar posts

The Staff Selection Commission’s vacancy list comprises 6,078 MTS posts for the 18–25 age group, 732 MTS posts for the 18–27 category, and 1,138 Havaldar positions.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the vacancy list for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) recruitment 2025. According to the official SSC notice, a total of 7,948 vacancies are offered for recruitment, of which 6,078 posts are under the MTS (18–25 years) category, 732 posts under the MTS (18–27 years) category, and 1,138 posts for Havaldar positions in CBIC and CBN units.
Furthermore, 3,679 are under the unreserved category, while 1,973 are reserved for OBCs, 859 for SCs, 621 for STs, 816 for EWS, and 731 for ESM. Approximately 310 vacancies are available in the PWD category.
The SSC MTS and Havaldar recruitment process is conducted to fill Multi-Tasking Non-Technical staff and Havaldar positions in various government departments.
A large number of MTS vacancies are clustered in regions with substantial central government presence. Delhi has the largest number of positions, followed by Maharashtra and West Bengal. The SSC MTS, Halavaldar posts offered have been consistent with recruitment trends seen in earlier cycles.

SSC MTS and Havaldar recruitment 2025 process includes two computer-based tests (CBT). A physical efficiency test (PET) is mandatory only for Havaldar posts. The document verification (DV) round will be held by the regional offices based on the merit list of each zone.
The CBT session 1 exam will include Numerical Ability, Mathematical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and Problem Solving, and session 2 will include General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension
