SSC Exam Dates 2025 Out: Exams will be held from July 24 - August 1 for Selection Post Group B and C recruitment.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the final exam dates for the Selection Post Recruitment 2025. The SSC Selection Post 2025 exam will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) from July 24 to August 1. Recruitment to Group B and Group C government posts will be done based on the Selection Post exam scores.

SSC has announced a total of 2,423 vacancies for different regions of the country.

Three separate exams — matriculation level or Class 10, higher secondary level or Class 12, and graduation and above level — will be conducted. Candidates who have applied for multiple posts under a single level will have to sit for the exam only once, while those who have applied for more than one post across different levels will have to appear for all specified exams.

SSC Selection Post 2025: Exam pattern

The SSC Selection Post exam will be of 60 minutes. An extra 20 minutes will be given for candidates who are eligible for using a scribe to write the exam.

The paper will consist of four sections, with each containing 25 questions worth 50 marks. The exam pattern for SSC Selection Post 2025 is given below.

To qualify in the SSC Selection Post exam, candidates should score equal to or more than the specified cut-off marks. The category-wise cut-off marks are given below.

  • Unreserved (UR): 30% marks
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 25% marks
  • Other categories: 20% marks

As per the marking scheme, ½ marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. If the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, the raw marks obtained by candidates will be normalised for each individual shift. The final merit and cut-off marks will be based on the normalised scores to bypass discrepancy in difficulty levels of exam papers.
