NEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE TN) has announced the Tamil Nadu Class 12th result 2025 today, May 8. Students who appeared for the Tamil Nadu higher secondary second year exam can check their TN Class 12 result 2025 through the official website, dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in. Students will have to enter their registration number and date of birth to access the Tamil Nadu HSE result 2025.
From the science stream, 5,15,368 students appeared for the board examination, of whom 4,99,832 are declared pass, taking the pass percentage to 96.99%. In the commerce stream, 2,37,285 students took the exam and 2,19,907 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 92.68%. For the arts stream, 11,411 students appeared, with 9,460 passing the exam, putting the pass percentage at 82.90%. For the vocational subject, 28,430 students appeared and 23,943 qualified, marking a pass percentage of 84.22%.
The TN 12th result 2025 mentions the student's name, board name, exam title, registration number, marks for internal, theory and practical components, subject-wise pass/fail status, overall result status, and total marks obtained.
Students who secured at least 35 marks per subject out of 100 in the TN 12th exam are considered to have passed. For language and non-practical subjects, students needed at least 25 out of 90 marks. In vocational subjects with practicals, the minimum required was 20 out of 75 marks in the practical exam.
Students who are not satisfied with their TN HSE result 2025 can apply for re-totalling of marks and can also opt for a re-evaluation of their results. Students who have failed in one or two subjects can apply to appear for the supplementary exam.
