The Directorate Of Medical Education and Research will close the Tamil Nadu MBBS, BDS registrations today at 5 pm. Candidates who qualified the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) will have to submit their application form online through the official website, tnmedicalselection.org, to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment.

“The candidates under PWD category can apply with the existing disability certificate now as Regional Medical Centres, RGGGH, Chennai will start issuing these certificates only after the MCC/ DGHS starts with application process. So date of uploading disability certificate obtained from Regional Medical Centres will be notified later,” the TN medical selection committee said.

The committee has also issued clarifications based on student queries. Students from other than Tamil Nadu state board, CBSE, and CISCE, have been facing difficulties in getting the eligibility certificate.

Considering the request, the officials informed that such candidates will be allowed to apply with a sworn affidavit stating that they will produce the eligibility certificate at the time of admission. However, if they fail to submit the required documents, their candidature will be cancelled.

Further, it said that the “inter-se merit of candidates (If they have got the same marks) for all the categories will be decided based on NEET rank given by NTA”.

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and SCA are exempted from paying application fee. However, those belonging to general, OBC, and other categories will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 500.

Those applying for government quota will have to pay Rs 30,000 as security deposit and for management quota, it is Rs 1 lakh.
