TNGASA 2025: The Tamil Nadu PG merit list 2025 will be sent to the colleges on August 4 and the counselling for students under special reservation categories will be held on August 11.

The Tamil Nadu minister for higher education, Kovi Sezhiyan, has announced that the online application deadline for postgraduate (PG) admissions has been extended to July 31. Students seeking admission in Tamil Nadu government arts and science colleges will have to apply through the official website, tngasa.in, to be eligible for admission.
The state-level counselling is conducted to fill PG seats in 180 government colleges. The Tamil Nadu Government Arts and Science Colleges Admissions 2025 (TNGASA 2025) process includes registration, payments, choice filling, and printing application.
The online application process for admission to postgraduate courses in Government Arts and Science Colleges for the academic year 2025–26 was launched on June 20 at Queen Mary’s College, Chennai. The registration window was scheduled to be closed today; however, the deadline has been extended following requests from candidates.
The Tamil Nadu PG merit list 2025 will be sent to the colleges on August 4 and the counselling for students under special reservation categories will be held on August 11, the minister said.
“Students are requested to make use of this extended period to apply for their desired courses on the mentioned website and avail the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies,” the officials said.

The application and registration fee is Rs 2 for SC, SCA, ST category students, and Rs 50 for other categories.
