TS Inter exams 2026 in March first week, practicals scheduled for February: TSBIE academic calendar 2025-26

NEW DELHI: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced the academic calendar for all junior colleges for the 2025-26 session. Aimed at ensuring a structured academic year for students taking intermediate education, the TS academic calendar 2025-26 is for both general and vocational courses.

Issuing the TSBIE academic calendar 2025-26, the Telangana board urged all junior colleges to comply with the guidelines to ensure a smooth academic year for students.

TS Academic Calendar 2025-2026: Key highlights

The important dates for classes, holidays, and exams for Telangana Inter classes are given below.

• The academic year for both first and second-year students will commence on June 2, 2025.
• Dussehra holidays are scheduled from September 28, 2025 to October 5, 2025.
• Classes will resume after Dussehra holidays on October 6, 2025.
• Half-yearly examinations will be conducted from November 10, 2025 to November 15, 2025.
• Makar Sankranti holidays will be observed from January 11, 2026 to January 18, 2026.
• Classes will resume after holidays on January 19, 2026.
• Pre-final exams are scheduled between January 19, 2026 and January 24, 2026.
• Telangana Board Inter practical exams 2026 will be held in the first week of February 2026.
• TS Inter exams 2026 will start in the first week of March 2026.
• The last working day will be March 31, 2026.
• Summer vacation is scheduled from April 1, 2026 to May 31, 2026.
• Advanced Supplementary Examinations (IPASE-2025) are planned for the last week of May 2026.
• Colleges will reopen for 2026-2027 academic year on June 1, 2026.

TSBIE informed that the academic year will comprise 226 probable working days, ensuring comprehensive learning for students. All Sundays and public holidays declared by the government will be strictly observed.

Telangana Academic Calendar 2025-26: Guidelines for colleges

TSBIE issued the following guidelines for junior Colleges:

• Private unaided junior colleges must adhere to the summer vacation schedule from March 30, 2025 to June 1, 2025.
• All public holidays as per the government schedule must be strictly followed.
• Admissions should align with the schedule announced by the board.
