The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has started the admissions for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2025 (TNEA 2025) for BE, BTech courses. Students who have completed their Class 12 are eligible to apply for the BTech admissions in various Tamil Nadu engineering institutes. Students will be selected based on the marks secured in Class 12 exams 2025.

Students who did not qualify for the TN 12th exam can apply for supplementary exams. The TN 12th supplementary public exam timetable 2025 will be made available tomorrow, May 9, by DGE TN. The supplementary application will begin on May 16.

TN Class 12th results are declared today, and 7.92 lakh students appeared for the exam. The overall performance rose by 0.47 points as compared to last year and recorded a pass percentage of 95.03%. This year, girls recorded a pass percentage of 96.7%, and boys stood at 93.16%

Students can claim the scanned copy of answer sheets from May 13 to 17.

Students who appeared for the TN 12th public exam 2025, a total of 135 students secured full marks in Tamil, and 1,624 students secured 100/100 marks in commerce subject.

Students can apply for TN 12th 2025 supplementary exams from May 16 onwards in their respective schools and private organisations. Students who failed or did not appear in the exams can appear in the supplementary exams.

The TN 12th 2025 for the supplementary exam will be conducted from May 25 and the exam schedule will be released on May 9.

As per the TN board update, 140 students appeared in prison for TN 12th exams 2025 and 130 students qualified for it.

A total of 8,019 physically challenged students appeared for the TN 12th exam 2025, out of which 7,466 students qualified.

The pass percentage of TN govt schools is 91.94%; for govt aided schools is 95.71%; and for private schools is  98.88%.

Anbil Mahesh said there are 7,513 higher secondary schools in Tamil Nadu. Of which, 2,638 schools recorded a perfect 100% pass rate. This includes 436 government schools.

As per the Tamil Nadu HSE results declared last year, pass percentage of science stream was 96.35%, commerce was at 92.46%, and arts stream pass rate stood at 85.67%.

This year, Tamil Nadu Class 12 results saw a marginal increase of 0.47 points more than last year's results.

This year, the pass percentage of boys is 93.16% and the pass rate of girls stood at 96.7%. Overall, girls outperformed boys by 3.54 percentage points more than boys.

A total of 7.92 lakh students appeared in the Tamil Nadu higher secondary examination. Of which 7.53 lakh students passed the exam and recorded an overall pass percentage of 95.03%.
