NEW DELHI: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has received a copyright for software ‘Molinsecto-AI’ from the copyright office. The Molinsecto-AI uses machine learning (ML) for advancement in agricultural science for predicting the properties of insecticides accurately. The TNAU vice-chancellor V Geethalakshmi honoured the developer of the software.

During the award ceremony, TNAU dean, faculty members and students were present. Developed by a TNAU team of experts, software ‘Molinsecto-AI: Molecules Insecticide Property Prediction using Machine Learning’ uses innovative tools to streamline the process of identifying potent insecticides. It will offer invaluable support to farmers, researchers, and environmentalists, the university said.

Molinsecto-AI analyses vast datasets and employs advanced algorithms, which enables users to swiftly evaluate the efficacy of chemical compounds against pests. It helps in accelerating the development of safer and more sustainable pest management solutions.
