Subscribe NowNEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced the Group 2 recruitment exam result today, December 12, 2024. A total of 29,809 candidates qualified for the combined civil services main exam. Out of these, 7,987 candidates qualified for Group 2 services and 21,822 for Group 2A services.
As per the official notice, a total of 7,93,966 candidates applied for the TNPSC Group 2 exam and a total of 5,83,467 candidates appeared. Candidates who appeared for the recruitment exam can download the TNPSC Group 2 result 2024 through the official website, tnpsc.gov.in.
The TNPSC Group 2 preliminary written examination was conducted on September 14, 2024, in the forenoon session across 38 district centres. The recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 2,540 vacancies. Out of this 534 posts are for group 2 service exam and 2,006 posts for group 2A service.

TNPSC Group 2 Result 2024: Main exam date
The TNPSC Group 2 and Group 2A main exam for Paper 1 (Tamil Eligibility Test) is scheduled to be held on February 2, 2025, in the forenoon session. The TNPSC Group 2 exam for Paper 2 (General Studies) will be held on February 23, 2025, also in the forenoon session. The commission will conduct the Group 2A paper 2 exams on February 2, 2025.
As per the official notice candidates who declared qualified for the TNPSC Group 2 main exam 2024 will have to an admission fee of Rs 150 for the main exam. The fee payment window will be open between December 14 and December 18, 2024.
“The candidates who have been admitted provisionally to the Main Written Examination are directed to pay ₹ 150/-(Rupees One Hundred and Fifty only) towards the examination fee (unless exemption of fee is claimed), through their registered OTR ID from 14.12.2024 to 18.12.2024,” the official notice read.
