The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded day 1 exam for the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2025 session. It has issued the admit card for June 26, 27 and 28 exam on its official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates can download the exam hall ticket using application number and date of birth
The UGC NET June 2025 exam is held to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as assistant professor, and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges.
The NTA has issued the UGC NET admit card for June 25 exams only. The hall tickets for the remaining exam dates will be issued soon on the official portal. As per the exam timings, there will be two shifts - shift 1 from 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm.
UGC NET exam date 2025
The exam will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) for 85 subject papers. The test paper will consist of two sections, both the section will consist of objective type, multiple-choice
questions. Candidates will have to attempt the questions in three hours, and there will be no break between the papers.

For UGC NET 2025, general category candidates should secure at least 40 percent marks in both papers to qualify. This means they need to score a minimum of 40 marks out of 100 in Paper 1 and 80 marks out of 200 in Paper 2.
