UGC NET Answer Key 2025: When will NTA issue response sheets? Cut-offs, result date

Candidates who qualify the UGC NET exam will be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), assistant professor recruitment, and PhD admissions.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to issue the UGC NET answer key on or after January 12, as per past trends. The University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2025 exam was conducted from December 31 to January 7.

The computer-based test (CBT) was conducted for 85 subjects. Candidates who qualify the UGC NET exam will be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), assistant professor recruitment, and PhD admissions.
The NTA has not announced the official UGC NET answer key release date yet, however, candidates can expect the provisional keys for all subjects soon on ugcnet.nta.nic.in. As per the marking scheme, each correct answer carries two marks and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Last year, the UGC NET answer key was published within five days after the exam. After the NTA publishes the key, candidates will be allowed to challenge the answers by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 200.
