UGC NET 2025 exams were conducted from December 31 to January 7, 2026, with participation from over seven lakh candidates across the country.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the UGC NET December 2025 results. Candidates who appeared for Assistant Professor eligibility, PhD admissions, and the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) can check their results on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The examination was conducted at multiple centres nationwide from December 31 to January 7, 2026. As many as 7,35,592 candidates took the computer-based UGC NET December 2025 exam.
NTA has also published the UGC NET December 2025 final answer key for 85 subjects, based on which results have been prepared.
More than 1.76 lakh candidates have qualified for JRF, assistant professor, and PhD admissions. The UGC NET December 2025 exam statistics are given in the table below.

Earlier, on January 14, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the provisional answer key on its official website. Candidates were given time till January 17 to submit objections by paying a Rs 200 fee per question, which was refunded if the challenge was accepted.
