The day 1 of the UGC NET 2025 June session exam will be held in two shifts. The forenoon shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon session will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2025 today, June 25, for accessing the eligibility of the candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as assistant professor, and admission to PhD courses. The day 1 of the UGC NET 2025 June session exam will be held in two shifts. The forenoon shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon session will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Registered candidates must download their UGC NET 2025 June session admit card through the NTA’s official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The login credentials to download the exam hall ticket includes application number and date of birth.
The testing agency will conduct the UGC NET 2025 on June 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 in dual shifts.
Notably, the question paper for the computer-based UGC NET 2025 will be in Hindi and English language only. As per the marking scheme, candidates will be awarded two marks for each correct answer, while there will be no deduction of marks for incorrect responses.
In addition, no marks will also not be deducted for unanswered and unattempted questions.
“If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous or has multiple correct answers, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers would be given the credit,” as per the official notification.
On the other hand, if a question is found to be incorrect and the question is dropped, two marks will be given to the candidates, who will attempt the question, the notification reads.

Candidates must carry their UGC NET 2025 June session admit card along with a government ID proof to the exam centre.
It is advisable that candidates should wear light weighted clothes since there will not be any break given in between the three hours long exam.
Female candidates should avoid wearing any kind of jewellery, watches, shoes with thick soles, and heavy clothes to pass the frisking process smoothly.
No electronic gadgets such as watches, mobile phones, calculators, etc, including other items like belt, rings, wallet, vehicle keys, helmets, will be allowed inside the exam centre.
