The International Excellence Scholarship 2026 carries a financial assistance of Rs 3.57 lakh (£3,000), Rs 7.14 lakh (£6,000) or Rs 19 lakh (£16,000) for International students.

The University of Leeds has announced up to Rs 19 lakh International Excellence Scholarship 2026 for Indian students pursuing UG and PG programmes. The scholarship includes 500 awards with up to 50% fee reduction for International students.
Eligible applicants can apply for the round 1 of the International Excellence Scholarship 2026 by February 27 up to 5 pm and the results will be declared by March 27, 2026.
The application link for round 2 will be active by May 15, 2026 and the outcome will be announced by June 12, 2026. The official website to apply for the International Excellence Scholarship 2026 is leeds.ac.uk.
The scholarship carries a financial assistance of Rs 3.57 lakh (£3,000), Rs 7.14 lakh (£6,000) or Rs 19 lakh (£16,000) for International students, the university said.
“The scholarship is designed to attract and support exceptional students from across the globe. Offering substantial financial assistance to outstanding international applicants pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies, the award reflects the University’s commitment to academic excellence, diversity, and global engagement,” the university said in an official statement.

Eligible candidates must have a strong academic record, leadership potential, and a commitment to contributing to the university, it said. Applicants should have to be classified as international fee-paying students.
They should hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a master’s degree (including MRes) starting in September 2026.
Notably, those applying for University of Leeds’s MBA and online courses are not eligible for this scholarship. These scholarships are competitive and will be awarded on the basis of merit.
The scholarship will be awarded on first come first serve basis and the university will encourage early applicants as awards may be allocated early in the application cycle.
