NEW DELHI: University of Southampton Delhi has invited applications for admission into four undergraduate and two postgraduate courses. It is the first chance to study in India with a world top 100 UK Russell Group university, it said, adding that the application process for the first intake in August 2025 will be closed on November 29.

The courses offered at the University of Southampton’s India campus are exactly the same as those offered in the UK, with the same modules, assessment, and academic requirements, it said.

Background wave

The University of Southampton is the first international university to be granted a licence by the Indian government to establish a campus in the country under the new National Education Policy (NEP). It partnered with Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) in October 2024 to deliver the new campus, including enquiry admissions and enrolment services.

The university will offer four UG courses namely BSc Business Management, BSc Accounting and Finance, BSc Computer Science, and BSc Economics, and two PG courses - MSc International Management and MSc Finance.

The last date to submit the application form for admission is November 29. Applicants will get their first update by mid-January 2025, following which there will be two more admission rounds before August 2025 intake. “Places are limited and admissions may close earlier based on demand,” it said.

The application fee of Rs 5,000 is waived for the first admission round. More details on scholarships and accommodation options will be announced soon, the university said.

“Students graduate with the same degree at the India campus as they will do when studying the same degree in the UK. The degree certificate and transcript will be identical and there will be no identification that the degree was awarded at a particular campus,” the university said.
