The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) will open a special 24-hour online enrollment window tomorrow, January 27, at 12 noon for eligible Class 10 students who missed registering for the Madhyamik Pariksha (SE) 2026 due to errors at their schools. The Madhyamik examination is scheduled to begin on February 2, 2026.

According to the official notification, the emergency enrollment portal for the WBBSE Madhyamik Pariksha 2026 will remain open until January 28, 2026.

“This one-time concession is being offered to students who have passed Class 10 and maintained a minimum attendance of 70% in Classes 9 and 10 but were denied enrollment due to errors or negligence during the enrollment process at their schools,” the WBBSE said.

Following the standard procedure, the student enrollment process must be completed through the respective school via the WBBSE portal, the official notice added.

WBBSE Madhyamik Pariksha 2026

“Schools will be required to submit the original enrollment report, duly signed by the candidate and countersigned by the head of the educational institution, along with the applicable fees, to the WBBSE office in Salt Lake, Kolkata,” the notice stated.

For eligible candidates who register during this special enrollment process, the WBBSE Madhyamik Pariksha admit cards and ASR documents will be issued at the WBBSE office on January 29, between 11 am and 4 pm.

“The board has warned that disciplinary action will be taken against schools responsible for such errors, and that negligence affecting the educational future of students will never be tolerated,” the official notice said.

According to the official schedule, the WB Madhyamik Exams 2026 will be held from February 2 to 12, from 10:45 AM to 2 PM. Students will get the first 15 minutes to read the question paper.

The first language subjects include Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi (Gurumukhi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, and Santali.

The second language subjects include English if a language other than English is chosen as the first language, or Bengali or Nepali if English is chosen as the first language.
