Try NowThe West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will announce the WBJEE round 2 allotment results for BTech admissions tomorrow, September 9. The WBJEE BTech counselling resumed after the Calcutta High Court directed the board to follow the old OBC reservation policy for admission.
The WBJEE round 2 or final seat allotments will be announced for admission to engineering, technology, and pharmacy courses in universities, government colleges, and self-financing institutes. The West Bengal JEE round 1 allotment list was uploaded on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in.
Candidates who did not get any allotment in round 1, opted for upgradation, or those who got their allotment cancelled due to various reasons will be considered for round 2 admission. If the seat is upgraded in the final round, the earlier allotment will be cancelled.
Document verification and admission process will be completed between September 9 to 11.
Students who have registered for the round 2 admission process can expect the following outcomes.
Upgradation to first choice- The seat allotment is upgraded to the candidate's first choice. Such students are not required to pay the seat acceptance fee again. However, they should download the new allotment letter and report to the newly allotted college to complete the document verification and admission process.
Upgradation to later choices - Such candidates may decide to join the institute of upgraded allotment and complete all admission formalities.
On the other hand, if the candidate does not complete admission formalities their present allotment will be cancelled and they will be debarred from admission in future rounds.
Not upgraded - Candidates who did not get their allotment upgraded may decide to take admission to earlier allotted seats.
Cancelled and allotted - Candidates whose allotment was cancelled in round 1 during verification, but were allotted a seat in round 2 will have to report to the respective college and get their documents verified.
They should also pay a WBJEE seat acceptance fee of Rs 5,000 to confirm their allotment.
