Subscribe NowThe West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has issued the notification for the 1st State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025 for the recruitment of 8,477 vacancies of Group C, D non-teaching staff posts in recognised government aided schools in the state. The registration for WB SSC Group C and D recruitment 2025 will start from November 3 on the official website, westbengalssc.com.
The last date to apply for WB SLST Group C and D 2025 is December 3 till 5 pm. The fee payment window will be open till 11:59 pm. The written exam will be held in January 2026. West Bengal SLST admit card 2025 will be issued seven days before the commencement of exam.
The commission clarified that candidates who have been identified as “ tainted candidates ” in the Supreme Court judgement passed on April 3 will not be eligible to apply.
West Bengal Group C and D recruitment 2025 aims to fill a total of 2,989 clerk and 5,488 Group D vacancies.

West Bengal Group C, D selection process
The selection of NTS in West Bengal schools will be conducted as follows:
- The selection of clerk will be made on the basis of written examination, evaluation of academic performance, prior similar experience and interview (including typing-cum-computer proficiency test).
- The selection of Group D staff will be made on the basis of written examination, prior similar experience and interview.
