From this year onwards, WBCHSE will hold improvement exams for Class 12 students, and it will also publish a subject-wise statistical analysis for each school. WB HS result 2026 Live
The WB HS statistical analysis will include a detailed report for each school in the state of the Class 12 results, including the number of students who appeared for the exam, and how many scored over 90% or 95%, best performers, and other statistics.
During the Class 12 result declaration press conference, the West Bengal board announced that students can 'surrender' their results and appear for the improvement exam. However, the dates for the WB HS improvement exam 2026 and registration are yet to be announced.
WB HS Result 2026: Grace marks policy
WBCHSE grace marks policy for Class 12 rule (9/1) states that, if any student fails with a margin of 3 marks or less, the board will deduct 3 from the top score subject and add to their result. Another rule (9/2) states that if a student fails in an elective subject, it can be replaced by a compulsory subject.
WB HS Toppers 2026
The overall pass percentage for Class 12 girls stands at 92.47%, while for boys it is 89.71%. Students can download their WB HS result 2026 using their roll number details on the official websites, wbchse.wb.gov or result.wb.gov.in.
As per the WB HS 2026 toppers list , Adrito Pal secured rank 1 with an outstanding score of 496 out of 500 marks (99.2%). Jishnu Kundu, Ritabarata Nath, and Aithijhyo Panchal jointly secured rank 2 with 99% marks.
