10 Galgotias University students win Apple’s Swift Student Challenge 2025

The winners of the Swift Student Challenge 2025 are offered international recognition and exclusive opportunities to engage with Apple’s technology ecosystem.
NEW DELHI: Ten students from the Galgotias University’s iOS Development Centre have been declared the winners of the Swift Student Challenge 2025. The competitive global platform, organised by Apple, is organised annually to encourage young developers to build innovative projects using Swift playgrounds, as per the official statement.
A total of 350 students worldwide were declared winners from thousands of entries, the accomplishment has positioned Galgotia’s students at the forefront of international app development talent, the university said.

“The winning projects developed by the Galgotias students were powerful examples of how technology can be harnessed for meaningful social impact. In the realm of education, projects such as Tide Explorer visualized the gravitational pull of the moon on tides, while AlgoMaze transformed algorithm learning into an interactive maze experience,” the university added.
Apple’s Swift Student Challenge 2025: Highlights
The Swift Student Challenge is a global competition where young developers showcase innovation and technical skills using swift playgrounds. It recognises students who exhibit exceptional creativity, technical skill, and a passion for solving real-world problems through technology.
Health and wellness solutions were also at the core of the students' innovations. Stress relief companions provided guided relaxation tools for individuals coping with anxiety, as per the university.
“Svaraa addressed a critical gap in reproductive health education by using gamification to raise awareness of conditions such as PCOS and UTIs. MotionEase offered real-time relief for motion sickness using a combination of breathing exercises, horizon-gazing, and acupressure-based techniques,” it added.
As part of the challenge, the students also tackled productivity and sustainability through technology. GitTales made version control easier by simplifying Git commands into an interactive learning experience, while CropCare empowered farmers with digital tools to monitor crop health, track inputs, and support organic farming practices, the university said.
“The recognition from Apple is a life-changing experience that has motivated us to continue building solutions with a positive societal impact,” one of the winners from the university said. A senior faculty member noted that the students were trained to meet global standards and encouraged to think beyond the classroom, applying their learning to solve real-world problems. “Faculty members from the iOS Development Centre played a critical role throughout the challenge, providing mentorship from ideation to final development,” the university said.
