Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre introduces winter internship programme in cybercrime: MHA

The ministry of home affairs (MHA) Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (14C) has introduced a winter internship 2025 for undergraduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG) candidates. The last date for application is October 17.

Candidates are required to attach and upload all necessary documents, as these will be thoroughly reviewed. The candidate will be shortlisted following the complete verification of the documents.

The internship offers valuable experience in cybersecurity and digital forensics. The internship will also develop one's skills in cybercrime investigation. Candidates can contribute to public safety and national security by working alongside experts.

How to apply?

The steps to apply for winter internship programmes are as follows.

  • Visit the official website, i4c.mha.gov.in.
  • Navigate to "What's New".
  • Download the Internship SOP along with the attached application form and undertaking.
  • Apply online via Google Form and submit it.

14C Internship: Eligibility criteria

Candidates pursuing any undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD courses in any of the following courses listed below can apply for the internship programme.

  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Electrical or Electronic Communication engineering
  • Cyber Security, Information Security, Cyber Forensics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics
  • LLB or LLM
  • Criminology or Sociology
  • Any other area related to cyberspace, technology, or cybercrime
  • Blockchain Technology
  • Dark web domain expert, Ethical Hacker Certification.
  • API or Software Development, Automation, Malware analysis - Reverse Engineering, Content Creator.
  • BA or MA in Journalism/Mass Communication / New Media and Digital Journalism
  • Diploma/Degree in Digital Media, Content Writers, graphic designing or video editing.
  • MA or Diploma in Events/PR Studies
  • BBA or MBA (Data Analytics)

Shortlisted candidates will hear from the centre within 4-5 weeks after the deadline for the application. The internship will be offered on an unpaid basis. I4C or the state and UT police will not provide any accommodation for candidates. Upon successful completion of the Internship, I4C will issue a certificate to the applicant.
