AEEE 2026 BTech application open; higher fee, new question pattern

The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has opened the application process for the Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering (AEEE 2026) for admission to its BTech programmes. The exam will be held in two phases and phase 1 exam will be held from January 29.

Eligible candidates can submit their AEEE 2026 application forms through the official website at aeee.amrita.edu by January 15.

The AEEE 2026 phase 1 slot booking will begin on January 10, and the computer-based test will be conducted from January 29 to February 1, 2026. The AEEE 2026 phase 2 exams will be held from April 25 to 30, while the counselling session is scheduled to begin from May 2026.

AEEE 2026 is the entrance test for admission to BTech programmes offered across its various campuses. It is a national-level exam that assesses candidates’ knowledge in mathematics, physics, and chemistry subjects.

Amrita AEEE 2026: Eligibility

As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in mathematics, physics, and chemistry with at least 50% each of these three subjects.

The date of birth of the appearing candidate should have to fall between July 1, 2004 and June 30, 2010.

AEEE 2026: Application fee increased

The Amrita university has increased the AEEE 2026 application fee by Rs 100, and candidates are required to pay Rs 1,300 as registration charges. Once registered, engineering aspirants can also apply with their JEE Mains percentile without paying any additional fees.

Candidates who wish to apply only through JEE Main score will have to pay just Rs 500.

“AEEE 2026 will be conducted in 2 phases. It is NOT mandatory to attend both the phases. If a candidate wishes to attend Phase 2 after attending Phase 1, he/she has to pay INR 600/-. In general, Phase 1 can be attended to test the skills and understanding and the same can be improved in Phase 2,” according to the official website.
