AFMS medical officer recruitment 2023 registration ends today at amcsscentry.gov.in; salary

Applicants shortlisted on the basis of NEET PG entrance examination marks will be called for the AFMS medical officer interview process in November.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Army will close the online registration window for the short service commissioned (SSC) medical officer recruitment 2023. Eligible candiates can apply for the recruitment process on the official website, amcsscentry.gov.in.
The recruitment is being conducted for 650 SSC medical officers – 65 for female and 585 for male candidates. Candidates should have passed the final MBBS (Part I and II) examination in not more than two attempts and have completed their internship on or before 31 Aug 2023. They should have also qualified for NEET PG entrance examination in the last two years).
Applicants who are holding an MBBS degree should have been born on or after January 2, 1994 while those with a medical PG degree should have been born on or after January 2, 1989.
Shortlisting and interview process
The candidates will be shortlisted by the Army for SSC medical officers on the basis of marks received in the NEET PG entrance examination marks. “Marks obtained by the candidates in NEET PG entrance examination will be proportionately converted to the tune of 200 marks and separate lists for male and female candidates will be prepared,” the Army said.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by a board of officers in November 2023 at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt. The candidates appearing for interview for the first time will be paid to and fro sleeper-class railway/bus fare. All candidates who have passed the interview by securing at least 50% marks will be subjected to medical examination immediately after the interview. Following which a merit list will be prepared.

Salary
Doctors on commissioning in the Armed Forces Medical Services will be granted the rank of captain in 10B level of defence pay matrix with basic pay of Rs 61,300 and MSP Rs 15,500 and HRA (if applicable) as per category of the city.
