NEW DELHI: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will be providing 1 lakh scholarships in collaboration with EduSkills foundation. These internships will be provided in 12 different domains in online mode. The internships will conclude by July 31.
AICTE and EduSkills have received internship applications from students from numerous technical colleges and universities so far. This is the internship’s fifth cohort. It was inaugurated by AICTE chairman TG Sitharam and attended by NETF chairman Anil Sahasrabudhe, AICTE COO Buddha Chandrashekhar, AICTE assistant director BM Tiwari, Amazon web service South Asia senior business lead Lokesh Mehra, and EduSkill CEO Shubhajit Jagadev among others.
While speaking about the internship, Sitharam said: “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the selected students on behalf of AICTE for reaching this significant milestone. This initiative has the potential to revolutionise technical education and bring about a transformative change. AICTE aims to extend these opportunities to rural and tribal students across India, with the intention of transforming India into a talent hub."
Further, Sahasrabudhe said: "It is a win-win situation for both the industry and academia. This initiative goes beyond being a mere training or course completion for the students; it also allows industries to benefit from the fresh and innovative technical ideas brought forth by young minds."
Previously, four cohorts of internships have been organised, during which 1,20,000 students have completed the internship opportunities.
