Amazon holding interviews for disabled job-seekers in Haryana today

Haryana government had signed an agreement with Amazon on providing jobs for disabled citizens in mid May.
NEW DELHI: Amazon is holding interviews for disabled job-seekers in Haryana today, June 6. The interviews are being held at Industrial Model Township (IMT) Manesar from 10 am till 3 pm.
The Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Languages (DPR) of Haryana announced the recruitment drive on social media and instructed job-seekers to reach the interview venue with the following documents:

Aadhaar card
-
Disability certificate
-
Bio-data
-
Educational certificates
The interviews are at Amarpali Building, sixth floor, officer number 638, Sector 2, IMT Manesar.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants have to fulfil the follow eligibility criteria:

Age between 18 and 35 years.
-
Less than 70% disability
-
Ability to work while standing
-
Education till at least Class 8 or matriculation (Class 10)
"Individuals with hearing or speech impairments, as well as those with disabilities in their legs and hands, are encouraged to attend," said Rajkumar Makkar, the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities in Haryana.

Jobs for the differently-abled
The Haryana government recently announced it will provide jobs to the state’s disabled citizens in both private and government sectors. There are 35,000 disabled people in Haryana; the government sector will provide 15,000 jobs and and the rest will be in the private sector.
In mid-May, Haryana’s Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Rajkumar Makkar, signed an agreement with e-commerce giant Amazon to provide jobs to around 10,000 disabled residents of the state. The commissioner has also signed an agreement with “Youth For Job” for the same purpose.
