BCI AIBE 20 registration ends today; last chance to edit application form tomorrow

The Bar Council of India (BCI) will close the registrations for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE 20) 2025 today, October 31. Eligible candidates can fill the application form to appear for the AIBE 20 exam through the official website at allindiabarexamination.com.

The AIBE 20 registration link will be active to pay exam fee and making corrections in the application form till November 1, 2025. Candidates must be aware that they will only be able to make corrections to certain details in the application form.

Fields that cannot be edited once payment is made includes registered mobile number, email ID, PwD certificate, caste document, and option related to enrollment certification or final semester status.

The council will issue the AIBE 20 admit card to registered candidates on November 15, 2025. The pen and paper-based bar examination will be conducted on November 30 from 1 pm to 4 pm.

AIBE 20 application fee

General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates can pay Rs 3,500 as AIBE 20 registration charges, while those from Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category should have to pay Rs 2,500 as AIBE 20 application fee.

Notably, law graduates, including final year LLB students who have not yet received their degree are eligible to apply for AIBE 20 examination.

The BCI conducts the AIBE examination for 3-year and 5-year LLB graduates and final year students to obtain a Certificate of Practice (CoP). The CoP is the permit to practice law in India.

AIBE 20 Registration: Format of documents

All documents are to be uploaded only in .JPG, .JPEG, or .PDF formats and each file should be under 600 KB.

Candidates need to upload a set of specific documents to complete their AIBE 20 registrations. The documents for candidates who have completed LLB include all semester marksheets (year 1 to final).

Applicants who are currently pursuing LLB 3-year and 5-year courses should have to upload marksheets from 1st year 5th semester and 1st year to 9th semester respectively.

Final year students must submit self-attested scanned copies or marksheets. Law graduates awaiting degrees must upload all semester marksheets. Applicants must ensure that their college or institution is BCI-approved.

Meanwhile, several students who cleared AIBE 18 have taken to social media and expressed that they have not got their CoP yet.

One user wrote on X: “I am an AIBE 18 passed candidate, but I haven’t received my COP yet. The Bar Council of Patna informed me that my ID was not updated, whereas I had already mailed all my documents in 2024 and received confirmation as well.Kindly look into the matter.”

Whereas, another one said: “Except Karnataka state bar council. Everyone is doing fine! 3 months since I've applied for enrollment they yet to enroll from last 2 months they are scrutinising for no reason! Even though I've cleared AIBE. not even single out of state university guy got enrolled.”
