Download EBookThe Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has resumed the NEET UG counselling 2025 process for round 1 and announced the round 2 admission schedule for MBBS and BDS admissions. The board has also given an option for “free exit” for round 1 seat allotted candidates.
The Bihar NEET UG counselling 2025 was put on hold for several days before publishing the seat allotment and again paused due to “unavoidable reasons” . A week later, the board has now announced the revised Bihar NEET UG counselling dates.
As per the new schedule, candidates allotted seats in round 1 will be able to opt for free exit from September 2 to 3 up to 4 pm. Such candidates will also have to download the “resignation slip” from the portal and get their original certificates from the allotted college, if they have already submitted.
While the choice filling for round 2 counselling will commence on September 5, it will remain open till September 8.
The Bihar NEET UG round 2 seat allotment results will be declared September 12, well within the timeline set by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Guidelines for Bihar NEET round 2 candidates
Candidates who filled choices in round 1 but did not get a seat will be automatically eligible for round 2 on the basis of previously filled choices. Such candidates are required to login again on their UGMAC 2025 admission portal to modify their choices.
Those who failed to complete the document verification after round 1 will be treated under the “free exit” category. Their previous choices will be considered null and void. They will have to fill fresh choices for round 2 to be eligible for admission.
After fresh choice filling or editing, candidates must click “Save Choices” and then “Lock Choices”. The final choices submitted should be downloaded.
“Candidates whose Round-1 seats have been cancelled as per BCECEB notices, and those who applied for B.V.C. Patna (Self Finance seat) but could not choose it earlier due to technical error, will now be allowed to add/edit this choice in their portal,” the board said.
