CAT 2024: IIM Bangalore gives 25% weightage to exam for MBA admissions

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore will admit students to the 2025-27 batch of its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) through the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. IIM Bangalore admission policy 2025 has been announced and there are no changes in the weightage of CAT scores.

As per the eligibility criteria, a candidate having a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories), will be eligible to apply for MBA admissions at IIMB.
Students will be required to submit the following documents while filling up the application form:
Class 10, 12 and bachelor’s degree transcripts
Bachelor’s degree certificate / provisional degree certificate (if applicable)
Bonafide certificate (for candidates studying in final year)
Professional degree transcripts (CA/CS/ICWA) (if applicable)
Professional degree certificate (if applicable)
Statement of purpose
Work experience letters, first and last payslips (if applicable)
SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS certificate (if applicable)
Relevant disability certificate and UDID Card for persons with disability (PwD)

It is mandatory for students to submit two reference letters, preferably from an employer or a teacher in an academic institution the candidate has studied from.
CAT Exam 2024: IIM Bangalore selection criteria
IIM Bangalore follows a two-stage admission policy for MBA admissions.
Stage 1
Candidates will be shortlisted based on minimum scores in CAT 2024 and other components such as academic performance and gender diversity.

The gender diversity component is applicable only for computing the pre-PI score and is not used in the next stage of selection.
Stage 2
The second stage of the admission process at IIMB consists of a personal interview (PI) and a Written Ability Test (WAT). The duration of the written test is around 30 minutes. The WAT will be evaluated based on the content and style of the note written by the student.
